Performing Arts
At our Kura we have a range of performing arts programmes these include Kapa Haka, Jump Jam, Fresh Moves, DanceNZand our School Choir. These programmes are integrated in the junior, middle and senior school. This term we are holding our school Extravaganza where we will showcase all the creative talents of our Tamariki. In term four we will be performing at the National Primary Schools Kapa Haka Festival in Palmerston North and then a few days later our Jump Jam Team will also be participating in a nation wide competition in Christchurch. We have been participating in the Jump Jam for 10 yrs and in 2007 we won the title in Wellington.
School Choir - Anzac Day Tribute
We are so fortunate to have a specialist Performing arts tutor, Whaea Ripeka has been in our Kura for over 20 years and along with Whaea Teia they continue to shape and mould our rangatahi. This tribute was dedicated to all the Ngati Awa Soliders who fought for our country. It only took a few days for our tutors to teach this to our kids the results are amazing. We strongly encourage our youth to get involved in Kapa Haka and all performing arts at secondary level and beyond

Kapa Haka - Rangataiki Festival 2014 Juniors Nga Pepi Heihei
Last year our kura won the junior , middle and senior school competition dominating all sections of this whakataetae. A great accomplishment for our tamariki and the first time this has occurred in the history of the festival. Our development programme for performing arts will ensure we continue to promote and enhance all forms of performing arts at our kura.
