As the Principal, I extend a warm welcome to all tamariki and whānau. This year our focus areas for promoting student achievement are:
Literacy/Reo Matatini
Numeracy/Pāngarau
Te Kura o Te Pāroa actively promotes a culture of whakawhānaungatanga, respect and caring for others. The learning environments are characterised by positive tuakana-teina and adult-student interactions and relationships. Students feel valued and demonstrate confidence and pride in being Māori.
Te Kura o Te Pāroa aim to provide an inclusive learning enviroment empowering all students to succeed.In 2017 Te kura o te Paroa will deliver the New Zealand Curriculum and level 1-3 Te Reo Maori in 6 Auraki classrooms. The 6 Rumaki classrooms deliver Te Marautanga o Aotearoa at level 1 Te Reo.
Our School values its place in the community our interaction with whanau. We welcome parents into our school, knowing that the relationship between school and home is important for promoting our students learning. We promote values based learning to encouage students to enact Nga tikanga O Te kura and to strive for excellence
