Tuesday 7/2/16.
We had Manuhiri in school today. Whaea Kura Paul and visitors from America came to school to teach the children about looking after Tangaroa and learn how to dive. We had Matua Terry come into our classroom and talk to us about Marlin and Swordfish. The children were really engaged and inspired to know that it was our visitor was swimming with these fish on the video clip. They also brought a new set of snorkels and masks for the school and taught the children how to snorkel properly. These gifts were purchased by 3 young girls that live in America. Therefore we will be writing letters of thanks to these girls for this taonga. Finally I would like to thank Paora Paul an ex student of Te Kura O Te Paroa for coming into our class and sharing his learning journey with my students. We are all very proud of you Paora. Keep up the fantastic effort!

First Week of LearningThis year we have combined both Te Tapoa and Te Korokoro classrooms into one learning space. The goal is that through-out the year Whaea Ramia and Whaea Rose will team teach all the subjects to these students. Here are photographs of our first whanau photographs together.
